Am I Back?

It's not really true,  I'm much more focused on finishing Le Mans 24 Hours right now because these last six races are too hard.  I guess I'll take another extended break from GT3 and come back to it later when I'm fresh. ;)

6 Races to Go!

I'm back from my vacation and focused on GT3.

Here are my results from the Polyphony Digital Cup

Trial Mountain II: 33:08:742
Mid-Field Raceway II: 28:42:973
Rome Circuit II: 33:30:509
Special Stage Route 5 II: 33:06:923
Seattle Circuit II: 37:32:411
Apricot Hill Raceway II: 32:21:635
Deep Forest Raceway II: 29:59:744
Special Stage Route 11 II: 45:47:930
Grand Valley Speedway II: 44:30:268
Tokyo Route 246 II: 39:34:052

Overall I'd say that it was not my best performance.  Although some of the wins were blowouts, others were too close to brag about.  My driving is not smooth enough and tire wear was a big problem.

I am now six gold medals away from getting 100% complete on GT3!

Tonight I finished the Formula GT Championship with a gold medal.  Two tracks were giving me a lot of trouble.  Laguna Seca and Cote d'Azur.  For now I just bailed on both of them since I had enough points for the win.  The F686/M proved to be more than enough car to get me through these tracks, here are tonight's times.  All of the following races were gold except for two.

Seattle Circuit: 54:21:703
Grand Valley Speedway: 42:52:660
Super Speedway: 24:17:323
Rome Circuit: 32:46:259
Test Course: 44:14:713
Laguna Seca Raceway: quit
Apricot Hill Raceway: 29:59:321
Tokyo Route 246: 34:10:550
Cote d'Azur: quit

Tonight I started the Formula GT Championship, it's one of the last two Professional Mode series races I have left to finish.  The car I'm using is the F686/M.  I finished the first race, Mid-Field Raceway in first place.  The 30 lap race took me 30:29:722 to complete.

Mid-Field is a really fast track with most laps taking around 57 seconds to complete.  As usual a good racing line requires just the right amount of early braking to allow for a smooth acceleration out of the corners.

I did a few warmup laps on Seattle Circuit after I finished Mid-Field Raceway.  I'm really gonna need some help on this track.  My racing line is not consistent at all.

Didn't have much time tonight so I didn't work on the last endurance race.  Instead I converted 4 more bronze license tests into silver.  I think it's harder for me to get the silver medals because I'm still driving with an automatic transmission.  This is one area that I'm sure is holding me back.  Even though my racing line seems pretty clean, I'm just not getting enough acceleration out of the corners.

Tonight I converted two IA license tests and 2 rally license tests.  The rally license tests are much harder than I thought they would be.  Most of the rally races were easier than the asphalt races.  I never felt that ai in the rally cars was at the same level as the cars in the asphalt races.
